IT industry makes significant progress in recent years: Armenian PM
“The IT industry has made significant progress in recent years, with an annual 25 percent increase being reported in the sector,” Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan said today at the opening of the 25th scientific conference “Knowledge, Innovation, Development” of the Armenian State University of Economics (ASUE).
“Today we have all the prerequisites and the relevant potential to become a key actor in the region,” the head of government said.
“We make consistent efforts for development of innovation ecosystems, in particular a number of programs are being implemented to improve the legal framework of the innovation sphere and create and develop modern innovation infrastructure,” the prime minister said.
“I am convinced that thanks to this conference, Armenian experts, foreign researchers, participants, and all those who familiarized themselves with the materials of the conference will become aware of the problems existing in the country’s socioeconomic sphere and their possible solutions,” H. Abrahamyan said.
