Number of participants in Armenian constitutional referendum makes over 2,551,682 ten days before vote
As of November 26 – with 10 days left until the referendum on the constitutional reform in Armenia -the total number of the voters included in the Voter Register of the Republic of Armenia is 2,551,682, according to the press service of the Armenian police.
“Pursuant to Article 6 part 8 of the Electoral Code of Armenia, 30, 20, 10 days and one day before the vote, the Armenian police release data on the total number of the voters included in the Voter Register of Armenia, also indicating the number of the voters put on each of the additional lists,” the police said in a statement.
It is also noted that
- there are now 7,369 voters who are registered in another municipality and have been temporarily removed from the voter list at the place of their registration and included in an additional voter list of the polling station at the place of their presence on the voting day;
- 86 voters not registered in the Republic of Armenia and put on an additional voter list of the nearest polling station at the place of their presence on the voting day;
- 0 police employees who will be sent on an assignment to polling stations on the voting day and are removed from the voter list at the place of their registration and included in an additional voter list at a polling station;
- 91 voters who will vote in a medical institution providing hospital care.
The Armenian president set December 6, 2015 as the date for the constitutional referendum. The campaign for the constitutional reform in Armenia began on October 10 and will end at midnight, December 4.
