Raffi Hovannisian unveils plan of constitutional reform opponents’ further actions
The leader of opposition Heritage Party Raffi Hovannisian made a speech in Liberty Square of Yerevan. He presented a plan of further actions of opponents of the constitutional reform in Armenia.
On December 1 ‘New Armenia’ Public Salvation Front convened an indefinite rally in Liberty Square. The Front includes Founding Parliament civic initiative, ‘Stand Up, Armenia!’ civil movement, and opposition Heritage Party.
“A meeting for reporters and citizens will take place. We will give brief reports on developments in Armenia’s domestic and foreign policy and then respond to questions of mass media representatives,” the oppositionist said.
Raffi Hovannisian in particular said they will also participate in a meeting of the campaign office of ‘No’ Front. “It is going to be the first step towards unification and the creation of the opposition’s integrity,” the leader of Heritage explained.
To remind, the opponents of the constitutional reform in Armenia set up ‘No’ Front that currently includes two camps. The first is ‘New Armenia’ Public Salvation Front established by opposition Heritage Party and opposition civic initiative Founding Parliament. The second camp is ‘No’ Movement formed by opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) and People’s Party of Armenia, which already set up a joint office for campaigning ahead of the December 6 referendum.
