On June 25, DemoDay of the 10-week IBM ISTC Startup Challenge will kick off. Six teams will pitch their ideas in front of jury. DemoDay and SeedStars Yerevan 2016 will be held at the American University of Armenia. The events are organized by the Microsoft Innovation Centre and Enterprise Incubator Foundation (EIF).

As informs the EIF, only 6 applicants out of 40 passed to the final round. During the 10 weeks, seminars ranging from concept design and development to access to the market have been organized for the teams. In their works, teams have used the services of IBM Watson Artificial Intelligence.

The two best teams will receive 1000 USD. As well as, one team will receive 120,000 USD in IBM Credits. The best teams will be granted the opportunity to continue acceleration at ISTC Centre, opening in July.
The winners will be selected in two stages. The assessments will be based on their performance and development during the 10 weeks and presentations at the DemoDay.

IBM ISTC with EIF and USAID will continue development of the startup ecosystem in 2016. IBM Bluemix Hackathon is planned in July and the first round of ISTC Acceleration will be held at the newly opened centre in September.
