Call for action from Executive Director at Union of Information Technology Enterprises

Executive Director at Union of Information Technology Enterprises(UITE) has issued a call and message to those who are interested in the UITE projects and wish to support them. The message reads:

“There is an interest recently on social media regarding projects run by UITE.

First of all I would like to thank each and all of you for your attention and interest. In that regard UITE team has developed a list of proposals for those who are interested in supporting our projects.

Let me introduce you some of our projects and the ways you can be involved.

“Armath” engineering club-labs introduction in the public education system of the Republic of Armenia

We have introduced 133 engineering labs in the following schoolsof Armenia by July 2016.

It is planned to implement another 70 lab projects at the end of 2016. The global plan for the project is to have all 1300 schools of Armenia be equipped with these labs till WCIT World Congress, which will be held in October 2019. To achieve that goal we need to invest in about 370 labs per yearin a period of 2017-2019.

Ways to support:

*      Create an investment club with your  classmates to introduce “Armath” lab in your school (the total investing budget for one lab is about 3.5 mln. AMD). This is a great way to express the gratitude to your alma mater.

*      If you are a local IT specialist, or from Diaspora, you can teach at one of our labs and share your practical knowledge. This will help our students to get involved in Armenian IT sector.

*      If you are current or future IT entrepreneur:

·       In addition to the above mentioned point you can also provide them with real job tasks and after a period of time hire them as employes.

·       You can become a regional advisor by contract with UITE, who must open a new business in one of the regions of Armenia (excluding Yerevan) during the 2 years by hiring current lab students or graduates.

·       If you bring an IT project to Armenia, that requires basic technical knowledge and can be performed online, we will organize all necessary trainings for our students, so they can be involved in it. Also we will help to register a business in one of the regions of Armenia (excluding Yerevan).

*      If you have an IT company you can join to ''One company-one school''project. As a project participant you will visit the school as a guest speaker and share your knowledge, also organizetrip days for the students to your facility, so they can see the IT business operation from the inside.

*      The future success of the students is substantially dependent on the English language, as well as the level of knowledge of physics and mathematics. So, you can teach as volunteers these courses online or visited the clubs, where the knowledge of these courses is insufficient.

*      You can participate in the program by making a donation (you have an opportunity to choose the school for your donation). Bank transfer details (please, mention the purpose of the transfer): Union of Information Technology Enterprises ULE, Converse Bank CJSC, 19300-52916980100 for AMD transfers. If you are transferring from abroad: Account owner: Union of Information Technology Enterprises ULE, Converse Bank CJSC, SWIFT code of the bank: COVBAM22.
