“Each year Zangak Publishing House increases the number of the published books, due to which a number of new translations in Armenia will be available till the end of this year,” Artur Mesropian, International Rights Manager and Translation Programs Coordinator of Zangak Publishing House, told Panorama.am.

As he mentioned, the Armenian translation of John Steinbeck’s “The Grapes of Wrath” (a stylistically complex American classic novel with multi-layer content) by Aram Arsenyan will be published soon. The series of  Harry Potter will continue to be published, namely the two books “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” and “The Mysterious Garden” translated by Alvard Jivanyan will be presented this year.

“At the beginning of this year we have already published the novel “And the Mountains Echoed” by one of the most famous contemporary writers Khaled Hosseini, and till the end of this the most famous work of the same author “The Kite Runner” translated by Maria Sadoyan will be published,” A. Petrosian noted.

He also informed that they intend to begin the translation of a series presenting the famous art workers who lived at the end of the nineteenth century and in the twentieth century (namely Matisse, Van Gogh, Gauguin, Dali and Warhol).

“We also intend to publish albums with beautiful illustrations, short and interesting stories intended for pre-school and primary school children. The first one will be “Daredevil David” (“Tsur David”) by Zhuliet Somand, which will be followed by “Blue Fox” initiated and illuminated by Lilit Altunyan.

According to A. Mesropian Zangak Publishing House attaches great importance to the participation in different international literary fairs and conferences, and during the last month it participated in the book fairs haled in Ashgabat, Moscow and Frankfurt. Every year they take part in Bologna Children's Book Fair.
