Moscow trilateral talks on Syria kicks off
Trilateral meeting of the foreign ministers of Iran, Syria and Russia has kicked off in Moscow. Russian IMNA news agency reports.
As the Iranian source reports today Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has paid a visit to Moscow where he has met Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
Foreign ministers of Russia and Iran have discussed the bilateral relations, as well as some issues regarding the recent developments in Syria and Iraq.
As Iranian MEHR new agency reports after the meeting of Russian and Iranian FMs, trilateral meeting between the foreign ministers of Iran, Russia and Syria has been held.
During the press conference following the trilateral meeting Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Muallem highly appreciated the efforts made by Russia and Iran to combat terrorism in Syria.
Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif restated that the Syrian conflict must be settled peacefully with the assistance of Syrian people.
RF Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has informed that Moscow is trying to make efforts to organize a meeting between Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
