Today Armenia’s Minister of Culture Armen Amiryan and President of "Pyunik" Foundation Gabriel Djambardji (Djambardjian) have signed a memorandum on cooperation which makes up 73 million AMD, Panorama.am reports.

“After we announced about our “Art Stop” program, we received immediate responses from our friends, namely from "Pyunik" Foundation. This is, indeed, an unprecedented program which features 426 cultural visits, over 200 film screenings on the portable cinemas allocated by the foundation and a total of 600 cultural events, not to mention the festival visits. And "Pyunik" Foundation has offered its wholehearted support to this program,” Minister Armen Amiryan has noted after signing the memorandum.

The facebook page of the Culture Ministry informs that within the program entitled “Art Stop” initiated by the ministry all the music and theatre groups of Armenia will tour to the country’s provinces and the Artsakh Republic.

Minister of Culture Armen Amiryan has also noted that the program will also give them an opportunity to register the cultural platforms of the regions, to assess the cultural potential of the local inhabitants and to correctly organize the support of the ministry in the future.

“The results will be evaluated on the basis of the sold tickets. Our goal is not selling a large number of expensive tickets. They will cost only 300 AMD. We aim at creating infrastructures for the organization of cultural events in Armenia’s communities. Believe me, such programs will also bring a qualitative change, as it is one thing when students are forced to attend a free concert and a completely different thing when a villager sees the poster of the event, willingly buys the ticket and takes part in it,” the minister has noted.

In the words of A. Amiryan unlike Yerevan, the inhabitants of Armenia’s regions have few opportunities to interact with the culture.

“We just need to share those events with our compatriots,” the minister has noted assuring that the “Art Stop” program will bring significant changes in the cultural environment.
