1% inflation registered in Armenia’s consumer market in April
In April 2017, 1% inflation was registered in Armenia’s consumer market to compare with March of the same year. The inflation largely depends on 1.9 % increase in prices of foodstuff and non-alcoholic beverages. As the National Statistical Service of Armenia told Panorama.am, in the mentioned period the prices of the food products and non-alcoholic beverages (including alcoholic drinks and tobacco) rose by 1.8%, with the costs of non-food products and services increasing by 0.3% and 0.2% respectively.
In all the cities of the republic under study, in April 2017 the consumer prices rose by 0.1-1.6% to compare with March 2017, with the highest rate of inflation recorded in Vanadzor city. In Yerevan, the consumer prices rose by 1.1%.
