Iranian Ambassador to Afghanistan not injured in Kabul blast – media
The building of the Iranian Embassy in Kabul was damaged after a powerful blast hit the Afghan capital in the area near foreign embassies and the presidential palace, Khabaronline.ir Iranian news agency reports.
To note, a huge car bomb explosion ripped through the heart of Kabul's diplomatic district, killing over 100 people. The Islamic State (IS) claimed responsibility for the attack.
As the Iranian source reports, the Iranian Embassy in Kabul has released a statement, informing that the embassy building was damaged due to the blast. Meantime the embassy dismissed the media reports according to which Iranian Ambassador to Afghanistan Mohammad Reza Bahrami sustained injuries during the attack.
