Azerbaijan probes reports of 200 ISIS-linked women arrested in Iraq
Azerbaijani authorities are investigating reports of more than 200 Azerbaijani women being detained in Iraq over terrorism-linked charges, local sources reported.
To note, Earlier, Iraqi MP Vian Dakhil wrote on her Twitter page that 512 Russian and 200 Azerbaijani women as ISIS members were captured and incarcerated by Iraqi forces.
Spokesperson for Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry, Hikmat Hajiyev, said in an interview with Trend News Agency, "Facts are being investigated and studied. The Azerbaijani side is in constant contact with the relevant Iraqi authorities through the embassy in Iraq on this issue".
