I have no doubts about the victory of Nagorno-Karabakh – Russian analyst
There is no complete historical justice, but there is an eternal scared struggle to restore that justice, Russian political analyst Modest Kolerov said at an international conference titled “Artsakh in the crossroads of struggle for Armenian statehood” held in Yerevan, Armenia’s capital on 22 February, Panorama.am reports.
Kolerov, who is also the editor-in-chief of Regnum news agency, said the recent experience of Russians inspires hope that sometimes the historical justice wins. The official noted that when the Russian president argued the necessity of re-uniting Crimea with Russia, he cited the very historical justice. The analyst stressed it is the key argument behind the sacred struggle of Nagorno-Karabakh.
According to Kolerov, despite the challenges, ‘the scientific, historical and public feelings do not follow the trail of hardships, but rather the apparent historical justice’.
He also cited the statistical figures, according to which some 65 percent of the Russian population voiced their support for the independence of Artsakh, which comes when the Russian people are not well informed about the issue.
“Recently my five-year-old boy asked my wife - his mother, who was born in Armenia – how does a nation win a battle? My wife replied that a nation always wins when they fight for their land. I have no doubts about the victory of Nagorno-Karabakh,” he concluded.
