Analyst: Iran’s 2018 state budget amounts to $350 billion
The Iranian parliament, known as the Majlis, approved the draft state budget proposed by President Hassan Rouhani for this fiscal year (2018–2019), Armen Israyelyan, an Armenian expert on Iran, said on his Facebook page.
Israyelyan noted the state budget amounts to $350 billion, adding it mainly targets the issues of reducing poverty and creating new jobs.
The expert detailed under the requirements of Article 94 of the Iranian Constitution, all the Majlis-adopted decisions must be submitted to Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps, which is obliged to study them within ten days after receiving them and decide their compliance with the Constitution.
