4.3 magnitude quake strikes near Spitak town in northern Armenia
On June 7, at 17:07 local time, the Seismic Protection Survey Seismological Network of Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) registered a 4.3 magnitude earthquake at northern latitude 40.920° and eastern longitude 44.280° geographic coordinates – 8 km northeast from Spitak town in Armenia’s Lori province. The earthquake was registered at the depth of 10 km.
As the press service at the ministry of emergence situations reported, the tremor measured magnitude 5-6 points at the epicenter. The quake was felt in Vanadzor with magnitude 2-3 points., Gyumri - 3-4 points and Yerevan 3 points.
