Day of Silence ahead of local elections in 18 Armenian communities
A total of 18 communities in the Armenian provinces of Aragatsotn, Ararat, Armavir, Gegharkunik, Lori, Kotayk, will hold local elections on Sunday, June 10.
As the Central Electoral Commission reported earlier, 8 communities will elect a head of community, 6 communities will vote to elect members of communal council.
According to the source, 22 out of 72 candidates competing for the post of the head of community are self-nominated, 4 candidates have been nominated by Prosperous Armenia Party and one - from the Republican Party.
