Armenia is going through an adaptation period, with the current situation developed in the country new for both new and old cadres in the state administration, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told a news conference on Friday, touching upon the cadre policies run by his government. 

According to the PM, there are three groups of people in the new Cabinet – new cadres, old cadres and officials who ‘have worked since old times but have come to assume new role in new times.’

“We need to record that the adaptation phase is inevitable in the new situation. Moreover, this applies to all. This is a brand-new situation for all cadres. The key issue of cadre policies pursued by me in the government has been to fix the unshakable victory of the revolution,” Pashinyan said.

According to him, Armenia is currently experiencing an adaptation stage, which will see some people adapting to the situation, while others failing to do so.

“This is inevitable, since what has happened in Armenia is not just an ordinary change, but a change of practices, work style, goals, national and state ambitions, with this situation expected by a small group of people. This is an unpredictable situation for others,” he stated.

PM Pashinyan also stressed the need to search for ways of involving the best national potential in Armenia’s administration system.

He also unveiled plans to create a personnel bank, which will open up vast opportunities for the best cadres of Armenia and the Armenian Diaspora.
