Acting Deputy PM: This was not the type of campaign we would like to have

"I am sorry that during this campaign we talk less about real projects, in particular the development of the economy," Armenia’s acting Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan told journalists today.

The Deputy Prime Minister explained that the Republican party also participates in the elections, and everyone begins to talk about the RPA and "My Step" alliance. "I think, in general, this was not the type of campaign we would like to have, but we have what we have."

To the question regarding the high level of hate speech during the campaign, Tigran Avinyan said that only one political force speaks about it and uses this kind of speech.

"I have not observed any hate speech by any other political forces, including " My Step "alliance, and I have heard very sharp criticisms that are understandable during each campaign," he said.

As to the observation that the Republicans say that "My step" alliance frequently talks about them during the campaign, Tigran Avinyan considered it natural because the Republican Party, according to him, is not a usual political force. "The RPA is the force that has been in power over the past two decades and has failed in almost all the spheres. Since the RPA has been constantly accusing us, this kind of attitude requires certain answers. And these answers are given and I think they are very convincing, " said Tigran Avinyan.
