Karaganda murder suspect detained in Russia
One of the suspects, Armenian national Narek Gururyan wanted for the Karaganda murder has been detained in Russian Omsk region, Sputnik news agency reported.
The agency quoted the Kazakhstan’s Ministry of internal Affairs saying discussion on the transfer of Gururyan to Kazakhstan is currently underway.
To remind, eight suspects, including two Armenians, have been detained after a 23-year-old Kazakh man was stabbed to death in the clash between two groups of guests during the New Year celebrations in the Ancient Rome restaurant on 1 January.
21-year-old Narek Gururyan earlier took to Facebook live and declared his readiness to surrender, pleading not guilty to the murder.
