PACE president to visit Armenia next week
President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Liliane Maury Pasquier will visit Armenia on 26-28 March, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Anna Naghdalyan told a news conference on Wednesday.
She said the PACE leader is expected to hold meetings with Armenia’s senior officials, including at the National Assembly.
During Pasquier’s visit, the Europe Square will be inaugurated in downtown Yerevan, marking the 70th anniversary of the Council of Europe.
Separately, she said Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan will start a visit to Africa, namely Ethiopia and Rwanda, on 2 April.
In Rwanda, the Armenian FM will attend the event commemorating the 25th anniversary of the Rwandan Genocide.
