Suspect arrested in teenager’s murder in Armenia’s Lori
A young man suspected in the killing of a fellow teenager in Armenia’s Lori Province has been arrested, the Investigative Committee reported, without revealing the suspect’s identity.
The 15-year-old victim was admitted to Tashir Medical Center at around 4:20pm on Saturday, with stab wounds in the chest and neck and in hemorrhagic shock, however the teenager died in the hospital on the same day.
The committee says it launched a criminal case on Saturday under Article 104.1 of Armenia’s Criminal Code.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the minor had suffered fatal injuries during an incident that occurred over personal matters due to the use of a knife by one of his peers. The latter was arrested and questioned over the circumstances behind this incident.
The preliminary investigation is underway, with measures being taken to ensure a comprehensive and objective probe into the incident.
