Armenia’s consumer market sees 2.8% inflation in May
In May 2019, 2.8% inflation was registered in Armenia’s consumer market to compare with May of the past year, while 0.4% deflation is recorded in May to compare with April of the ongoing year.
According to the figures released by the country’s statistical service, in January -May 2019
the average monthly growth of consumer prices stood at 0.4% which exceeds by 0.2% the number recorded in the previous year.
The nine Armenian cities under study saw a 0.1-0.1% price cut in consumer prices last month from the previous month. Consumer prices dropped by 0.5% in capital Yerevan May and rose by 0.1-0.8% in two cities under study.
