Ambassador of Armenia to Turkmenistan dies aged 61

Armenian state and political figure, experienced diplomat, Ambassador of Armenia to Turkmenistan and the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan on joint terms (seat in Ashgabat) Garnik Badalyan has died aged 61 on Wednesday, the foreign ministry reported on Wednesday.

According to the message, Badalyan’s years-long active political activity and experience have greatly contributed to the establishment of Armenia’s diplomacy and foreign policy.

“The great memory of Garnik Badalyan will always shine bright,” the ministry said, expressing condolences to the Ambassador’s family and friends.
