Armenian Greco Roman wrestler advances to Tbilisi tournament final
Armenian Greco-Roman wrestler Norayr Hakhoyan (55 kg) has reached the final of the Grand Prix of V. Balavadze and G. Kartozia being held in Georgian capital Tbilisi.
Hakhoyan will wrestle against an Iranian athlete for a gold medal. Another Armenian wrestler Rudik Mkrtchyan in the same weight class who earlier lost to Norayr Hakhoyan will fight for a bronze medal.
Wrestler Hrant Kalachyan (72 kg) will also compete for bronze, the National Olympic Committee’s press service reported.
The winner and the medalists of the tournament will be awarded $1000, $800 and $500, respectively.
