Armenian PM invites all to Gyumri to mark Independence Day
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan urges everyone to travel to the second largest city of Gyumri on 21 September marking the country’s Independence Day.
“We are all going to Gyumri on 21 September. I would like to remind that from this year we are launching the process of holding the main Independence Day celebrations in regions. The first such event will take place in Gyumri on 21 September,” he wrote on Facebook.
“The government’s office promises an unforgettable event, and the previous year’s experience comes to show that they can fulfil that promise.
The prime minister also proposed citizens to decorate their balconies on the day to give capital Yerevan and other cities and towns festive makeover as well.
“The simplest way to give a festive exterior to a building is to hang the Armenian flag from the window or the balcony,” he said.
