Armenia’s emergency minister not to step down
Armenia’s Minister of Emergency Situations Feliks Tsolakyan on Friday refuted reports about his possible resignation.
“I am not going to resign. I am going to work, I am going to proceed with my work,” he told reporters.
He stressed the resignation of one official and the appointment of another are not correlated.
The minister said he was the one to guarantee Artur Vanetsyan's candidacy for the post of the National Security Service director and does not regret his decision now.
Vanetsyan was dismissed on 16 September.
