The book “Mr. Five Percent” about Calouste Gulbenkian translated into Armenian
The book titled “Mr. Five Percent” about Calouste Gulbenkian, one of the most influential figures in the development of the global oil industry in the early 20th century and Armenian philanthropist has been translated into Armenian. The book is a comprehensive biography of Gulbenkian compiled by Jonathan Conlin based on the research of the archives at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation in Lisbon, Portugal, among a broad variety of other sources.
The translation has been initiated by Edit Print publishing house, and the official presentation will take place on October 15.
The book offers a detailed account of the life and efforts of a remarkable and influential man whose actions informed key aspects of the world’s economy in the 20th century. Published to mark the 150th anniversary of his birth, “Mr Five Per Cent” reveals Gulbenkian's complex and many-sided existence.
