Armenian-NATO cooperation framework discussed in Brussels
The Defense Minister of Armenia Davit Tonoyan headed to Brussels to attend the meetings of the North Atlantic Council (NAC) at the level of Defense Ministers at the NATO Headquarters, which is held in Brussels on October 24-25.
As the press department at the ministry reported, Davit Tonoyan met on Thursday with NATO Deputy Secretary General Mircea Geoană to discuss issues related to Armenia-NATO cooperation framework. Armenia’s contribution to NATO-s mission in Kosovo and Afghanistan was bilaterally highlighted.
At the request of the Deputy Secretary General, Minister Tonoyan briefed on the course of the Armenian humanitarian mission in Syria, its aim, capacities and the possibility of geographical expansion.
Issues related to the security of the Middle East and South Caucasus were also part of the discussion.
