Pashinyan points to the need for strengthening and raising the efficiency of CSTO
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received on Friday the Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Stanislav Zas, who is paying working visit to Armenia.
As the press department at the Government reported, PM highlighted the role of the CSTO in ensuring the regional security, saying: “We should continue consistent steps in raising the efficiency and strengthening of the organization.”
Pashinyan pointed to the need of close cooperation to tackle global challenges and expressed hope that during the service of Stanislav Zas at the CSTO Secretary general number of existing issues will find solution.
Zas, in turn, briefed the PM the upcoming plans and priorities of the military bloc, including the joint military exercises, works in cooperation with other international structures.
The parties also touched upon the organization of the events dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War as well as topics of international and regional relevance.
