Georgian police arrest 4 citizens for illegal border crossing

Georgia’s border police have arrested four Armenian citizens for illegally crossing the country’s state border, 1tv.ge reported.

The investigation revealed that the citizens, bypassing the border checkpoint, trespassed the Georgian state border in a group from Armenia, a police statement said. 

A probe is underway, the source added.

The trespassers face 4-5 years in prison.
