Brazil’s Christ the Redeemer statue lit up with Armenian flag

The Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, has been lit up with the colors of the Armenian flag to mark the 29th anniversary of Armenia's independence, the Embassy of Brazil in Armenia reports.

“By this magnificent light and sound show friendly Brazil pays tribute to Armenia’s independence,” the embassy said.

A video presenting the Armenian alphabet has also been projected on the famous statue.
