Armenia reports 718 new coronavirus cases on October 8

Armenia has confirmed 718 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in a 24-hour period, bringing the national tally to 54,473 as of 11 a.m. Thursday, October 8, the Ministry of Health reports.

202 more patients have recovered from the disease with the total number of recoveries now standing at 45,312.

The coronavirus death toll has increased by 9 to 1,004. The latest victims were 62 (male), 86 (male), 67 (female), 88 (female), 58 (male), 73 (male), 70 (female), 71 (male) and 83 (male) years old. All had underlying chronic health conditions.

The number of active cases is 7,855. As many as 316,479 tests have been performed in the country since the disease outbreak.
