Most of us used drugs to suppress fear in Nagorno-Karabakh fights, captured terrorist confesses
Armenia's Investigative Committee released on Sunday excerpts from interrogation of a Syrian terrorist, captured by the Artsakh Defense Army in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone. The suspect, who is charged with international terrorism, is Mohhrab Mohammad al Shkher, an ethnic Arab, a citizen of Syrian Arab Republic. The arrested terrorist confesses that he learnt about the war in Nagorno-Karabakh a month ago.
He has been approached by Suleiman Shah terrorist group members who recruited youth people for the fights. The Syria, who worked as laborer, was later transferred to an area near Kilis town of Turkey, where the command staff of various militant groups were stationed. The Chief Commander of Suleiman Shah group named Abu Hamsha has been there as well.
Mohhrab Mohammad al Shkher along with dozens of mercenaries have crossed the border of Turkey on October 17. The border guards and the police officers have not questioned them and checked passports during the departure. On a place, they have been accompanied by Turkish military.
They have been transported to one of military objects in Azerbaijan, where uniforms of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces and arms were provided.
"All of us were armed. Azerbaijani military informed us that we were to fight Armenians. Servicemen of Turkish Armed Forces in their uniforms were stationed there as well. Those military were mainly specialized on artillery systems. Both ordinary soldiers and high-ranking officers were on the ground," the captured mercenaries tells in the video.
Around 200 terrorist mercenaries were given a command to attack and conquer an Armenian village. They were told no civilian lived there and instructed to murder if any. When the group approached the village, it came under intensive Armenian fire and had to retreat. He was injured during the clashes, and was left on the battlefield as none of the comrades took him out.
The Syrian terrorist recalls that they were advised to use drugs to suppress fear during the military operations and most of the group members did so.
The Syrian also confesses that Turkish Armed Forces have supported Azerbaijanis since September 27, in particular covering Azerbaijani offensives with artillery fire, controling the UAVs flights and running the management of the military actions.
"Our group was tasked by Azerbaijan to destabilize the internal situation in Artsakh through explosions, killings, arson. That is to say to destroy everything and leaving no one alive," says the arrested mercenary, adding the terrorist groups were financed and equipped with weapons by Turkey.
