Artur Vanetsyan heads to National Security Service
Artur Vanetsyan, the former director of the National Security Service who currently leads the Homeland Party, headed to the National Security Service (NSS) after addressing demonstrators gathered in front of the National Assembly building amid anger over Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s decision to sign an agreement with Azerbaijan to end the war in Artsakh.
"Artur Vanetsyan has been invited to the National Security Service for a meeting or for other reasons still unknown. Now he will leave for the NSS, he promised that he will return soon," said Gegham Manukyan, a member of the ARF Supreme Body.
The protesters began chanting Vanetsyan’s name as he left.
A total of 17 parties organized a rally in the Liberty Square of Yerevan today, demanding Nikol Pashinyan’s resignation. The rally then continued in front of the government and parliament buildings.
