Two arrested and 16 sick Azeri soldiers handed over to Azerbaijan - Russian MoD
Two servicemen of the Azerbaijani forces were released and handed over to Azerbaijani side with Russian peacekeepers' mediation, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported on Friday. According to the source, the servicemen had been detained on January 30 by the officers of Armenia's National Security Service (NSS) in Tegh village of Syunik province
On January 30, at the request of the Azerbaijani side, 16 Azerbaijani sick servicemen were withdrawn from Vank and Maghavuz settlements and handed over to Azerbaijani medics through Russian peacekeepers.
As the source added, the Russian peacekeepers maintain contacts with both Armenia and Azerbaijani General Staffs over possible border incidents.
