Our losses may continue as long as we have this leadership in place - Tigran Abrahamyan
"Azerbaijan will continue its actions as long as Armenian authorities allow them to act. Azerbaijan will demand and get whatever it wants as long as Armenian authorities are ready to meet their demands," opposition lawmaker Tigran Abrahamyan stated on Thursday during the urgent discussion initiated at the NA Standing Committee on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs. To note, the discussion focused on the establishment of Azerbaijani customs checkpoints on the Goris-Kapan road section in Syunik Province of Armenia.
Abrahamyan stressed that the human and territorial losses of Armenia may continue as long as the authorities remain in place and act as the Azerbaijani-Turkish interests dictate.
"As we have been continuously voicing, at this stage the most important issue for Armenia remains the establishment of security system to address the existing realities. The lack of that system emboldens Azerbaijan to infiltrate into various settlements of Armenia, secure and strengthen the aggression it used in Gegharkunik and Syunik provinces," Abrahamyan added.
