Russian deputy PM arrives in Armenia on working visit
Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Alexei Overchuk arrived in Armenia on a working visit, the Armenian government reported.
He met with his Armenian counterpart Mher Grigoryan in Yerevan on Wednesday to discuss the bilateral agenda.
The meeting was also attended by Oleg Belozerov, General Director and Chairman of the Board of JSC Russian Railways, and Russian Ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopyrkin.
The sides discussed topical issues on the Armenian-Russian bilateral agenda, including trade and economic cooperation. They stressed the important role of South Caucasus Railway Company for the Armenian economy and discussed a number of issues related to the further development of cooperation with the company as part of the concession agreement.
The meeting also addressed issues on the agenda of the trilateral working group co-chaired by the deputy prime ministers of Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan, as well as the prospects for the restoration of transport communications in the South Caucasus.
