Viva-MTS General Manager presented at Yerevan Tech Forum 2022

Yerevan Tech Forum 2022 took place in Yerevan today. The Forum was organized by “Skill” event marketing company at Gabriel Sundukyan National Academic Theatre.

Viva-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian was invited as a speaker and presented a presentation titled “Corporate Management in Ever-Changing Environment”. In the speech Ralph Yirikian focused on business management in the more volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous world highlighting the importance and necessity for businesses to overcome various challenges. Viva-MTS General Manager discussed the major challenges that telecom companies faced during the COVID-19 outbreak. In addition, he highlighted the need for transforming from a telecommunications operator to a comprehensive digital services company.

“COVID-19 has accelerated the pace of digital transformation for many businesses including Viva-MTS. Change is important because managers and companies that ignore the necessity for going into changes on continuous basis and fail to bring about timely change in appropriate ways are unlikely to survive. Managers and companies are faced with highly dynamic and complex environments. Any company that ignores risk factors and is not capable of identifying international trends and growth opportunities, will do so at its own risk”, said Viva-MTS General Manger Ralph Yirikian.

“We started the process of digitalization from clear vision by applying strategy and instruments, in order to make our services and performance more flexible and adaptive to the ever-changing business environment. We had a vision, and our vision reflected that while continuing to provide telecommunications services, we are growing into a digital company that offers a variety of digitalized services”, added Ralph Yirikian.

“The first Yerevan Tech Forum took place on May 21st, and I want to share the idea of its creation. After the well-known February events, the life of the technological sphere seriously changed in our country. Armenia has become one of the centers of many relocated businesses, specialists in tech, creative, and marketing industries, and freelancers. Numerous companies relocated to Armenia, including world-famous companies”, said the Founder of Skill Event Marketing Company Sergey Usnunts.

“All this also affected our local tech industry, as many issues arose, such as the impact of these processes on the local job market, startup ecosystem, and investments. In addition to the opportunities, these processes have many challenges. All the above mentioned became the basis for the initiation of the Yerevan Tech Forum, which will become an annual event”, added Usnunts.

The key topics for the Yerevan Tech Forum 2022 highlighted the recent developments and changes in the technology, team management, supply chain, marketing, information security and business reshaping involving speakers and panelists from diverse industries. The Forum had more than 25 speakers and 1000 participants.

Skill uses event management & marketing technology to help companies and brands to solve their business key challenges. Since 2017 #skillteam has organized more than 400 large-scale and small-scale events of various formats, where we had a chance to meet more than 50,000 participants from 10 countries.
