Armenia's ruling party nominates Anna Vardapetyan for chief prosecutor

The parliamentary faction of Armenia’s ruling Civil Contract party has officially nominated Anna Vardapetyan for Prosecutor General, according to a statement released by the National Assembly on Monday.

Vardapetyan is an aide to PM Nikol Pashinyan.

The current chief prosecutor, Artur Davtyan, will complete his six-year term in office on September 15. He was appointed to the post in 2016.
