Armenian parliament fails to adopt opposition-drafted statement
The Armenian National Assembly on Friday failed to adopt an opposition-drafted statement in response to a similar document passed by the Azerbaijani parliament on 8 November.
The statement had been introduced by the largest opposition Hayastan faction in the Armenian parliament.
It was backed only by the 31 opposition deputies in attendance of a parliament special sitting.
The ruling Civil Contract faction abstained from voting.
