Cilician High School in Aleppo damaged in quake

The building of the Cilician Armenian High School in Aleppo, Syria has sustained partial damages in Monday’s powerful earthquake, the Kantsasar weekly reports.

The school has been closed pending an inspection and repairs.

The quake has killed at least 1,451 people in Syria. Citing the Syrian state news agency SANA, CNN reports that 711 people have died across government-controlled areas, mostly in the regions of Aleppo, Hama, Latakia, and Tartus.
