Yerevan subway suspends operation
The Yerevan Metro has suspended its services, the Rescue Service of the Armenian Interior Ministry reported on Saturday.
"On April 1, at 2:20pm, the National Crisis Management Center was alerted that during the dismantling of the hopper of the Yerevan Flour Mill JSC located at 2 Nar-Dos Street, debris fell on the subway rails, as a result of which its operation had to be suspended," it said in a statement.
One fire and rescue squad was dispatched to the scene.
No injuries were reported.
