MP says Lachin corridor must be main supply line for Artsakh

Opposition MP Tigran Abrahamyan insists the Lachin corridor must be the main supply route for Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh).

His comments came after the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) on Monday delivered humanitarian aid, including flour, medical and hygienic items, to Stepanakert through the Lachin corridor and the Azeri-held Akna (Aghdam) road simultaneously.

In a social media post, Abrahamyan, secretary of the opposition Pativ Unem faction, accused Russia and Azerbaijan of failure to comply with the November 9 agreement which ended the 2020 Artsakh war.

“The Pashinyan regime has turned the exercise of the Artsakh people’s right to self-determination into a matter of physical existence,” he wrote.

"The Lachin corridor must be the main route for supplies carried out by Russian peacekeepers and the Red Cross, not to mention the ONLY lifeline road for Artsakh and Armenia,” Abrahamyan stressed.

“Amid the escapism of the Armenian authorities and the silence of international actors, the Artsakh people are standing on the edge of the abyss and any mistake or careless step could lead to tragedy,” he warned.
