Tigran Parsilyan replaces deceased Civil Contract MP

Tigran Parsilyan has been named replacement of deceased lawmaker Matevos Asatryan in the Armenian National Assembly.

Parsilyan was the next candidate on the ruling Civil Contract party’s list in the 2021 parliamentary elections.

The Central Electoral Commission drew up a protocol on his appointment as MP at an emergency meeting on Monday.

Matevos Asatryan passed away on 6 November at the age of 38.
