Armenian MP insists on adequate retaliation to restrain Azerbaijan
Armenian opposition MP Tigran Abrahamyan insists on adequate retaliatory measures to restrain Azerbaijani aggression.
His comments came after two Armenian soldiers were killed and several others wounded when their combat posts near the village of Nerkin Hand came under Azeri cross-border fire early on Tuesday.
"Yesterday's Azerbaijani hysteria, which started when Azerbaijan's State Border Service said an Azerbaijani soldier had been wounded near Nerkin Hand and continued with the release of a video showing a fake sniper, led to severe consequences today," Abrahamyan, the secretary of the opposition Pativ Unem faction, wrote on Facebook.
"The Armenian Defense Ministry has reported two killed in action and several wounded in the same area. Azerbaijan should not be allowed to feel free either in the propaganda campaign or, moreover, on the border and carry out unanswered attacks.
“Time has shown that adequate and in some cases disproportionate (incomparably powerful) retaliation is the only way to deter Azerbaijan, otherwise impunity will lead to new aggression," the MP stressed.
