Armenia's economy minister resigns
Armenia's Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan has stepped down.
The minister announced his resignation in a social media post on Wednesday, without giving a specific reason for his decision.
"On 20 November 2020, when I was assuming the minister’s post, there was a high likelihood that I would serve only for a few days or months due to a high risk of change of government. During that period, I wanted to quit this job on many occasions due to disagreements, but I subordinated myself to service to my country. I am grateful to the prime minister for this opportunity to serve my country,” Kerobyan said.
His resignation came amid a corruption investigation in the Ministry of Economy.
