Armenian parliament fails to elect new top court member
The Armenian parliament failed to elect Davit Balayan as a member of the Constitution Court on Wednesday.
All 32 out of 107 MPs, who took part in the secret ballot, voted for Balayan, Counting Commission Chairman Narek Babayan announced.
Lawmakers from the ruling Civil Contract party abstained from voting.
Davit Balayan had been nominated for the vacant post by the General Assembly of Judges.
