Kate and William's plea to Meghan and Harry rejected over kids, expert says
Prince William and Princess Kate reached out to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle amid their ongoing feud - only for Meghan to put her foot down, the Mirror reported, citing a royal expert.
It's no secret that the Sussexes have an incredibly strained relationship with the rest of the royal family - fuelled further by their numerous public criticisms of its prominent members. But apparently William and Kate tried to extend an olive branch in order to see their young niece and nephew, Archie and Lilibet.
Harry and Meghan's daughter, who will be three in June, has only been to the UK once in her life, and the Prince and Princess tried to encourage the Sussexes to travel with their children back to London. But Meghan refused, according to royal expert Tom Quinn.
He exclusively told the Mirror: "There is no way Meghan would bring the children to the UK. William and Kate have suggested that Meghan and Harry bring the children and that the two couples and their families try to make up, but the suggestion is not leading anywhere so far."
Meghan and Harry are not close with William and Kate, and the Sussexes hit out at their family members in their Netflix docuseries, as well as their bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey. Harry also made a number of accusations about his brother and sister-in-law in his debut memoir Spare.
Harry is due to fly back to the UK in a matter of weeks to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games. But it's widely assumed that Meghan will remain in California with their children.
