EU mission carries out patrol in Armenian village
The European Union Mission in Armenia (EUMA) on Wednesday carried out a patrol to the village of Nerkin Hand in Armenia's southern Syunik Province.
"Yesterday, EUMA carried out a successful patrol to Nerkin Hand in southern Armenia to assess the humanitarian and security situation by the Armenian-Azerbaijan border," EUMA said in a social media post.
"Head of Mission and the EUMA team met with Mayor Khachatur Baghdasaryan, who warmly welcomed us to the village," it added.
Russian border guards left Nerkin Hand in May, almost four years after their deployment to the border area.
