Armenian MP: Azerbaijan toughened rhetoric ahead of COP29
Azerbaijan’s rhetoric has significantly toughened ahead of COP29, Armenian opposition MP Tigran Abrahamyan says.
“Its causes are yet to be thoroughly analyzed. Moreover, it seemed that Azerbaijan was supposed to use the major international conference to promote its “peace-loving” and “constructive” stances, but something is wrong here,” the Pativ Unem faction MP wrote on Facebook on Monday.
“Especially in the recent period, Aliyev has been strongly criticizing international actors, countries that somehow support or make statements in defense of Armenia, let alone the preconditions and threats against the country.
“The Armenian leadership’s claims that concessions can pave the way for peace have not only failed to bring us closer to real peace, but have also put Armenia at greater risk,” Abrahamyan stated.
