GM Levon Aronian of the United States captured the overall title at the Biel Chess Festival, winning the prestigious Grandmaster Triathlon that combines rapid, classical and blitz formats.
Aronian dominated in both the rapid and blitz events, while finishing fourth in the classical section. His strong performance across formats earned him 25 points in the combined standings.
Aydin Suleymanli of Azerbaijan placed second with 21 points, securing the runner-up spot in the multi-format competition.
